Campaign Development

In Spring of 2016, I co-drafted a Public Relations campaign for Farm-Haus, an Orlando-based farm-to-table chef service that uses mindful, seasonal ingredients, to create organic, gourmet meals delivered to it's customers doorsteps. They provide both pick-up and delivery service based out of East End Market. The campaign began with an interview with the owners, Brittany and Patrick Lyne, as well as extensive research into the industry, competition, and social context, which laid a foundation for the campaign. An 80-page research book provided to the Farm-Haus team further outlined the research. For a PDF of the project, please contact me personally.

In Fall of 2015 I co-drafted a campaign plan for the Rollins College Wellness Center to be implemented in their "R You Your Best You?" campaign. This initiative was created with the intent to further unite the Rollins Campus through a series of campus wide events. Those which my group specifically planned were "Step Out of Your Screen" and "You CAN Sit With Us." Both of these events were planned to encourage students to remove themselves from their technologies and instead engage in thoughtful conversation with fellow students.

Research and Writing

The Obesity Epidemic and Coca-Cola

I performed an in-depth analysis of Coca-Cola's anti-obesity campaign as an example of crisis communication. This supplement is an example of my writing as well as my research ability. To access a downloadable, PDF version of this essay, click here

The Potter Box Explained

During my semester abroad studying in Rome, Italy I took a course called Media Ethics & Cultural Citizenship. The primary focus of this course was to study the ways in which the media employ ethics in deciding what to share. The course also delved into the theories of Aristotle, Immanuel Kant, and Jeremy Bentham. My essay, The Potter Box Explained, dissects the Potter Box, a guide to making ethical decisions, and through examples goes step by step through the model. The First Globalization

In addition to my interest in Public Relations, I have found a passion in art. In my Global Art course we developed a virtual art exhibition utilizing specifically global art work or architecture as opposed to a more traditional Western style of art. In my essay, The First Globalization, I analyzed three pieces of architecture, the Church of San Miguel in Bolivia, The Water House in Nigeria, and lastly Angkor in Cambodia. I argue that these three sites are all illustrations of cultures intermingling through colonization, trade, exploitation and the movement of religion. While this essay is related to Art History, as opposed to the Communication discipline, it is indicative of my passions for people and culture and presents additional examples of my writing.
